Masodik nap - Day 2

Yesterday we went to the Buda Castle district (Buda castle, Fisherman's Bastion, Matthias Church) and walked around there a bit. Buda Castle is not a castle but a kind of walled off area where the old government and king resided. There are also other smaller houses in the area - more like its own little village. You can get the best view of Budapest from there - as it is on the west side of the Danube looking back towards the Pest side of the city.

The weather has been good so far - hot, but tolerable. After the castle we took a train ride out to Anna's brother-in-law's parents house for lunch and to spend some time with her sister and family. It was a nice little house in the western "suburbs" of the city - very nice area similar to the mountains / hills of Pennsylvania. We took a quick "hike" up to the top of one of the larger hills and from there you had a view of the entire valley west of Budapest.

It was getting late by this time so we headed back. We stopped by a bar/pizza place called Marxim which is famous for making fun of the communist era. After that we headed home to the hotel and that was it for day 2.
